The vibrant funeral procession commenced yesterday morning in Warri, proceeding down to a jetty on the Warri-Sapele Road near the NPA. From there, the casket embarked on a boat journey to Ogbe-Ijoh, accompanied by prayers from the residents of Warri for the eternal peace of young Oromoni.

Sylvester Oromoni Jnr tragically passed away on November 30, 2021, reportedly after being subjected to torture and bullying by some senior students at his Lagos-based secondary school.

His father, Mr Sylvester Oromoni, who shares the same name, has been fervently seeking justice for his late son.

He initiated legal proceedings in a Magistrate Court in the Epe area of Lagos, prompting the establishment of a coroner inquest to uncover the circumstances surrounding the young boy’s death.

As Sylvester Oromoni finds his resting place, cries for justice echo through Warri and his hometown of Ogbe-Ijoh, underscoring the ongoing quest for accountability in this tragic incident.
