Umahi Boasts: Tinubu Stands Firm Against All Biafra Agitations

According to Ireporter Online, the Minister of Works, David Umahi, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is the only political party capable of delivering sustainable development to the Southeast region.

Umahi made the statement at his country residence in Umunaga Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area, Ebonyi State, while addressing APC supporters and stakeholders following the party’s primary election victory of his son, Osborne Nweze Umahi, as the chairmanship candidate for Ohaozara LGA.

He called on youths and stakeholders across the Southeast to embark on a massive registration drive into the ruling party to secure the region’s political future. “Let everybody go and register in APC. There is no alternative,” he said, urging a concerted effort across all states in the region.

Umahi also commended President Bola Tinubu for his administration’s efforts to address longstanding grievances in the Southeast, particularly the agitation for secession, which he attributed to years of neglect. “The President has defied all the agitation from Biafra. We are not living on sentiments,” he said, emphasizing that political advancement cannot be achieved through emotional rhetoric or intimidation.

He urged the Southeast to focus on concrete achievements and active participation in national politics rather than protests or agitation. According to Umahi, the current administration has begun correcting historical imbalances, and the region will eventually produce a credible presidential candidate when the timing is right. “The time of God is the right time,” he stated, urging patience and unity under the APC platform.

The minister also defended the federal government’s road infrastructure projects, describing them as transformational and essential to national development.
