Nollywood actor Tope Adebayo, son of veteran actor Adebayo Salami (widely known as Oga Bello), has debunked rumours suggesting he is romantically involved with fellow actress Fathia Balogun.

Speaking in an interview with BABAIBE TV on YouTube, Tope revealed that a certain individual within the film industry is responsible for spreading the false narrative. Expressing disappointment over the allegation, he clarified that his bond with Fathia is purely professional and rooted in mutual respect and gratitude.

He emphasized that while their relationship is close, it is not romantic. According to him, Fathia played a pivotal role in his journey to becoming a director and remains a lifelong supporter.

“I’m deeply saddened because false rumours are being circulated about me and Fathia,” he said. “An actor has accused me of being in a sexual relationship with her, which is completely untrue.”

“Fathia and I share a strong connection that people don’t understand. We’ll always be close because she helped me when others tried to discourage me from becoming a director. Despite my lack of experience, she trusted me enough to direct five of her movies early on.”
