In the days leading up to the ceremony, Maiduguri experienced an influx of guests from across Nigeria, many arriving as early as Monday to honor Dalori, a prominent political figure in the state.

The festivities peaked on Saturday afternoon as dignitaries, including Vice President Shettima, APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Borno State Governor Prof. Babagana Zulum, Senator Kaka Shehu (Borno Central), and Minister of State for Solid Minerals Development Uba Maigari, gathered at Dalori’s residence on Dapcharima Road, Old GRA, Maiduguri.

The grandeur of the event, marked by traditional Kanuri customs and the glamour of a modern celebration, left a lasting impression on attendees. Dalori’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Hon. Yemi Akinbode, expressed his principal’s heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support and turnout.

From early morning, Dalori received guests, including Vice President Shettima and Governor Zulum, in the open courtyard of his residence, in line with Kanuri traditions. The groom’s family formally presented themselves to pay homage, bringing gifts as a mark of respect and affection for the Dalori family.

The traditional marriage rites were performed with simplicity and dignity, culminating in prayers from both families for the couples’ future happiness. The couples were then introduced and blessed by key dignitaries, including Vice President Shettima, Governor Zulum, and former Borno State Governor Alimodu Sheriff.
