US Offers $10M Reward For Info On Iran’s Supreme Leader & Top Officials

According to Ireporter Online, the United States Department of State has announced a reward of up to $10 million for information on several Iranian officials, including the country’s newly appointed Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. The reward was made public on Friday through the US Department of State’s Rewards for Justice Programme, which described the individuals as “Iranian terrorist leaders.”

The announcement, shared in a poster on (formerly Twitter), stated that these officials oversee various elements of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which the US alleges is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing terrorist activities worldwide. Among those named are Iran’s Minister of Intelligence, Esmail Khatib; Deputy Chief of Staff to the Supreme Leader, Ali Asghar Hejazi; Senior Military Adviser, Yahya Rahim Safavi; and Interior Minister, Eskandar Momeni. Other figures include Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme Council, along with officials holding unspecified positions such as the secretary of the Supreme Defence Council and the commander-in-chief of the IRGC.

The programme encouraged individuals with credible information regarding these officials, senior IRGC commanders, or their networks to submit tips via encrypted messaging platforms or through a secure communication channel on the Tor network. Eligible informants may receive a reward of up to $10 million and possible relocation.

The announcement comes amid rising tensions between the United States and Iran following the recent appointment of Khamenei as supreme leader on March 8, succeeding his father, Ali Khamenei, who reportedly died during early stages of the ongoing conflict involving Iran and a US-Israel coalition. The 56-year-old cleric was selected by Iran’s Assembly of Experts, the powerful clerical body responsible for naming the country’s supreme leader.

Following his appointment, the IRGC pledged allegiance to Khamenei as Iran faces increasing confrontations with the United States and Israel. In his first statement since taking office, the new leader vowed continued retaliatory actions against Iran’s adversaries and warned that the conflict would persist until justice for Iranian casualties was achieved. His statement, broadcast on state television, also threatened action against strategic Gulf oil routes and warned neighboring countries hosting US military bases of potential retaliation.

Speculation about Khamenei’s health has circulated due to his absence from public appearances since assuming power, with some US officials suggesting he may have been injured during the conflict. Iranian authorities, however, maintain that he remains fully active and in control of the government.
