Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has pledged to identify and bring to justice those responsible for the ongoing insecurity in the state.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, Uzodimma expressed his commitment to addressing the issue and uncovering the culprits within a few weeks.
While the governor has previously linked the insecurity in Imo State to political motives, he has now tasked security agencies with identifying and apprehending those responsible for the menace.

He pointed out that many of the victims were members of his administration, adding that prominent members of his party, the APC, and traditional rulers sympathetic to the party have also been targeted.
Uzodimma called on those orchestrating the crimes to stop using politics as a pretext for killing innocent people. He emphasized that the insecurity in Imo State is politically engineered, and he believes the perpetrators are aware of their actions.
He noted that approximately 90 percent of those killed in the state belong to the APC, and the insecurity is primarily directed at one political party.
Governor Hope Uzodimma is seeking re-election in the upcoming governorship election later this year.
