Video: Student Apologizes For Bullying Incident At Lead British International School
A student from Lead British International School in Abuja, involved in a bullying incident, has issued an apology for her actions. In a video circulating online, the remorseful student, identified as Hassan, expressed deep regret for her behavior and pleaded for forgiveness from both her fellow student, Namtira, and the public. The video comes after footage emerged showing Hassan repeatedly slapping Namtira, sparking outrage on social media. The incident prompted widespread calls for justice and investigations into the matter.
The school’s management, in response to the incident, initiated an investigation and formed a dedicated team to conduct a thorough inquiry. Abraham Ogunkanmbi, the Head of the School, confirmed that the team is currently gathering information, reviewing video footage, and interviewing witnesses to understand the incident’s full context and identify its underlying causes.
Hassan’s apology video signals a step towards accountability and reconciliation, as efforts continue to address the issue of bullying within the school community and ensure the well-being of all students
