According to Ireporter Online, Nollywood actress Sophia Chisom has revealed that she does not use her tongue during on-screen kissing scenes, stressing that she treats such moments strictly as professional acting tasks rather than real-life intimacy. The actress made this clarification while addressing recent discussions in the industry sparked by some actors’ complaints about never experiencing what they described as a “good kiss” on set.

She explained that while filming romantic scenes, she maintains firm personal boundaries by keeping her lips involved only and ensuring her teeth remain closed, adding that she avoids any exchange of saliva with co-stars due to personal comfort and hygiene considerations. Soso emphasized that on-screen intimacy is part of performance and should not be mistaken for real pleasure, noting that actors are expected to make scenes believable for viewers without turning it into a personal experience.

Her comments follow similar remarks from colleagues in the industry, including frequent collaborator Saga Adeolu, who had previously stated that on-screen kisses are not enjoyable and are purely work-related.
