Why Osinbajo, Ngige Are Not Involved In Campaign – Keyamo

Festus Keyamo, the spokesman for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), has explained why Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is not participating in the party’s campaign.

He stated that Osinbajo is acting on orders from President Muhammadu Buhari.

Keyamo cited former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi as an example, saying the former Rivers Governor chooses which rally to attend, whereas Minister of Labour and Employment Senator Chris Ngige chose not to attend for reasons best known to him.

As regards the Vice President, he said he is not involved because he was assigned to focus on governance

According to him: “Rotimi Amaechi (former Minister of Transportation) was there in Adamawa State and Jos recently; he has been going to the rallies but he has picked the ones he wants to attend.

“For the Vice President, it was a directive for him to face governance, and you can see Mr President has been going round campaigning. Also, Ngige is not campaigning against our party, he just said he will remain neutral for his own reasons and that is just one minister out of 43.

“We have an absolutely strong coalition in the APC unlike the PDP that has virtually collapsed.”
