Wike’s Invitation to Adams Oshiomhole An Attestation Of Service To Humanity

Over the last few months, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has been commissioning some wonderful projects that have amazed Nigerians and left them speechless, with many wondering where the Rivers State Governor sees the resources to undertake such laudable initiatives.

Construction after construction, flyovers after flyovers, it appears that Wike is rushing to leave a legacy in Rivers State that will last more than a generation; his works speak for him.

The Rivers State Governor today invited H.E Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole to commission the Umueprikom Flyover, which was built by the Rivers State Government during Wike’s tenure. This laudable achievement, along with others, demonstrates that Nyesom Wike is a progressive Governor who cares about his people.

His invitation to a certified former action Governor of Edo State to commission such a massive project with a direct impact on the masses demonstrates that the Rivers State Governor recognizes a man of action when he sees one.

Wike has put political differences aside and honored the Deputy DG of the APC Presidential Campaign Council with this recognition, which goes a long way toward proving that in whatever capacity we find ourselves, we should always put the people first.

For the first time in Edo State history, caterpillars and construction equipment were seen working simultaneously across the three senatorial districts during Adams Oshiomhole’s administration. From Edo South to Edo Central to Edo North, projects were underway at the same time. The government was working for the people, and they could feel it.

Workers were happy, schools were getting a facelift thanks to the red roof revolution, Benin City was gradually becoming a tourist attraction, social and economic life was thriving, and the people knew an action-oriented government was in place.

His endorsement of Oshiomhole’s achievements not only as an Executive Governor or a former Labour Leader, but also as a people’s man who cares for his people, is a welcome development.

While many may see this as merely a political statement directed at whomever it may concern, the editorial board of iReporteronline sees it as an affirmation of good leadership in service to the people.

Today, Rivers State is regarded as one of the best states in terms of development and humanitarian assistance to other sister states in times of distress.
