Zamfara Govt Reaffirms Stance Never To Negotiate, Reconcile With Bandits
The Acting Governor of Zamfara State, Malam Mani Malam Mummuni, has reinforced the government’s unwavering stance against negotiating with bandits. Mummuni commended the significant progress made in security operations, attributing it to the dedication of Governor Lawal and the efforts of security forces combating terrorism in the region. He urged citizens to uphold the lessons learned during Ramadan and to continue fervent prayers for peace and harmony in Zamfara.
Highlighting engagements with national security chiefs, including a recent visit by the Chief of Army Staff prompted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directives, Mummuni reiterated the government’s stance against negotiating or reconciling with bandits. He emphasized that aggressive measures would be pursued to tackle insecurity and restore peace in the state.
Expressing gratitude for the citizens’ support, Mummuni assured that Governor Lawal’s administration remained steadfast in fulfilling campaign promises, particularly in prioritizing security.
