BREAKING: Banks Will Accept Old Naira Notes After Deadline – Emefiele
The governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has stated that banks will continue to accept old naira notes after the deadline.
Emefiele spoke at an interactive session with the House of Representatives ad hoc committee on currency redesign and naira swap policy on Tuesday.

He also stated that the CBN will accept old naira from banks after the February 10 deadline.
Emefiele mentioned the CBN Act, which requires the apex bank to continue accepting old notes after they expire.
