2027: ADC Unveils Osun Senate, Reps, Assembly Candidates

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osun State has unveiled its candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Abosede Busayo Oluwaseun, on Monday, the party urged residents across the state to take note of its candidates and support them during the elections.

The party said it has fielded candidates across Osun’s three senatorial districts, nine federal constituencies and all 26 State House of Assembly constituencies.

For the Senate, Akeem Olaoye will contest the Osun Central Senatorial District, while Senator Adelere Oriolowo will represent the party in Osun West. Babatunde Olaniyi Loye is the party’s candidate for Osun East.

In the House of Representatives race, Akinlabi Olusegun will contest the Ifedayo/Ila/Boluwaduro Federal Constituency, while Barrister Olayinka Oyefusi will fly the party’s flag in Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin.

Taofeek Arogundade will contest Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu/Irepodun, while Tajudeen Ajagbe will represent Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo.

The party’s other House of Representatives candidates include Gbenga Ogunkanmi for Iwo/Olaoluwa/Ayedire, Bolarinwa Ibraheem for Irewole/Isokan, Sikiru Ayedun for Ife North/Ife East/Ife Central/Ife South, Olowu Sunday for Obokun/Oriade and Ajibola E. Oladimeji for Ijesa South.

The ADC also presented candidates for all 26 constituencies in the Osun State House of Assembly.

Among them are Akanbi Kehinde Joshua for Ifedayo, Oyedotun Olalekan for Ila, Oyetola Kayode for Boluwaduro and Wahab Kazeem O. for Ifelodun.

Oluyemisi Titilayo A. will contest Odo-Otin, while Muhammed Ismail A. will contest Orolu/Irepodun. Lateef Mumini Abayomi will represent the party in Olorunda, while Tiamiyu Idris will contest Osogbo.

For Ede North, the ADC has nominated Hammed Sakirat Adefunke, while Akanni Saburi A. will contest Ede South. Oyewumi Naheem Alani, Akinyemi Philip, Adigun Adekunle M. and Opadola Abdullahi M. will contest Egbedore, Ejigbo, Iwo and Olaoluwa respectively.

Ogunrinu Oguntunji A. will contest Ayedire, while Olaniyi Sariat is the party’s candidate for Ayedaade. Najeem Sunday will represent the ADC in Isokan/Irewole.

In the Ife axis, the party presented Oyeniyi Isaac Kolawole for Ife North, Omisakin Mojred for Ife East, Ayodeji Oluwaseyi E. for Ife Central and Gbamilá Jacob for Ife South.

The remaining candidates include Omole Mathew Oluseye for Ilesa West, Olayiwola Olalekan O. for Ilesa East, Olanrewaju Samuel for Atakumosa East/West, Oginni Gideon for Oriade and Bakare Kayode for Obokun.

The party expressed confidence in the candidates, describing their participation in the 2027 elections as an opportunity to provide stronger representation and promote purposeful leadership across Osun State.

The ADC maintained that its candidates would offer voters an alternative focused on improved representation and a stronger democratic future.

“We express confidence that our candidates represent a new opportunity for quality representation, purposeful leadership and a stronger democratic future for the people of Osun State,” the party stated.
