2023 Elections: See Result From 17 Local Governments In Katsina

Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, is leading his two main rivals, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), in Katsina State.

Mr Tinubu has won 11 local government areas so far, while Atiku has won six of the 17 local government areas where results have been collated and announced.

There are 34 local government areas in the state, so there are 17 more to go.

Mr Tinubu received 216,887 votes, while Mr Atiku received 201,542 votes.

Mr Kwankwaso is trailing with 23,298 votes, having yet to win a local government election.

Atiku of the PDP won the Batsari Local Government Area with 8,889 votes to Mr Tinubu’s 7,017 votes. The NNPP receives 1,096 in the area.

He also won Mashi with 16,086, APC with 12,868 votes, and NNPP with 1107.

Kurfi is another local government area that Atiku won, with 12,528 votes to Mr Tinubu’s 11,203. The PDP candidate also won Batagarawa with 16,987 votes to Mr Tinubu’s 13,950.

Mr Atiku also won Dutsin Ma with 17,917 votes, followed by Mr Tinubu with 13,233 and Mr Kwankwaso with 3,799.

Kusada local government was also won by the PDP, with 10,990 votes, followed by the APC with 7,442 and the NNPP with 474.

Mr Tinubu, on the other hand, won Matazu with 12,008 votes, ahead of Mr Atiku with 9,644 and Mr Kwankwaso with 415. In Kaita, the APC received 14,593, the PDP 11,793, and the NNPP 799 votes.

APC has 14,360 votes in Musawa LGA, PDP has 10,603 votes, and NNPP has 2,033. Mr Tinubu received 12,315 votes in Ingawa, while Mr Atiku received 12,152 votes and Mr Kwankwaso received 3,388 votes.

Mr Tinubu received 12,779 votes in Charanci, Mr Atiku received 8,020 votes, and Mr Kwankwaso received 609 votes.

In Dutsi, the APC candidate received 9,258 votes, compared to Mr Atiku’s 8,074 and Mr Kwankwaso’s 289.

Mr Tinubu won the Mai’Adua local government area with 19,098 votes, followed by Mr Atiku with 14,096 and Mr Kwankwaso with 747.

In Rimi Local Government Area, the APC candidate received 16,759 votes, while the PDP received 15,318 and the NNPP received 1,039.

Mr Tinubu also won Danmusa LGA with 11,259 votes, while Atiku received 7,294 and Mr Kwankwaso received 699.

In Sandamu LGA, the APC candidate received 13,681 votes, while the PDP received 10,434 and the NNPP received 399.

Mr Tinubu also won the Dandume Local Government Area with 15,062 votes. Atiku received 10,718 votes, while Mr Kwankwaso received 3,163 votes in the local government election.
