2023 Elections: See What Happened To Gov Ayade Senatorial Bid
Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River has been defeated in his bid to return to the Senate after serving as governor.
Ayade, who is finishing his second term as governor, previously served in the Senate from 2011 to 2015 and had hoped to return to the role of Senator representing Cross River North.

However, he was defeated by Senator Jarigbe Agom-Jarigbe, the incumbent.
Peoples Democratic Party candidate Agom-Jarigbe received 76,145 votes, while Ayade received 56,595.
