JUST IN: Donald Trump To Be Arrested (SEE WHY)
Donald Trump is set to surrender on racketeering charges and is expected to be booked at Georgia’s Fulton County Jail on Thursday, marking his fourth criminal trial in the coming year as he aims to secure his return to the presidency.
The 77-year-old former president faces arrest in relation to allegations of conspiring with 18 codefendants to overturn the 2020 election outcome in Georgia. Trump’s upcoming legal battles will unfold alongside his campaign efforts for the 2024 White House bid.
The arrest occurs shortly after Trump declined participation in a televised primary debate featuring eight fellow contenders for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.

During a pre-recorded interview with Tucker Carlson, broadcast on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter), Trump brushed off the four criminal indictments against him, attributing them to a “weaponized” Justice Department under President Joe Biden.
Security preparations have been heightened for Trump’s arrival at Fulton County Jail, a facility currently under scrutiny for inmate deaths and poor living conditions. Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis, who initiated the racketeering case, set a deadline for the 19 defendants to surrender by Friday at noon (1600 GMT).
While the exact timing of Trump’s arrival remains undisclosed, the former president stated on his Truth Social platform that it would be Thursday afternoon. He posted with emphasis, “NOBODY HAS EVER FOUGHT FOR ELECTION INTEGRITY LIKE PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP,” pledging to “PROUDLY BE ARRESTED.”
Unlike previous arrests, Trump may not evade having a mugshot taken, as standard procedure in Georgia requires it before defendants are released on bond. His bond is set at $200,000.
Notable figures implicated in the case include former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, and lawyer John Eastman, accused of concocting a false elector scheme.
Facing criminal charges during the Republican primary season and the presidential campaign season, Trump’s legal battles will stretch across 2024. The trials encompass charges related to conspiring to overturn the 2020 election and paying hush money to Stormy Daniels.
