Pro-Putin Regional Politician Found Dead Outside His House
A member of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s party, Vladimir Egorov, was discovered dead in the courtyard outside his home, adding to a series of deaths involving Russian elites under unclear circumstances.
Egorov, a Tobolsk City Duma Deputy from the United Russia party, reportedly died at the age of 46, as reported by Russian newspaper Kommersant, citing the Investigative Committee for the Tyumen Region.
According to investigators, there were no apparent signs of criminal involvement in Egorov’s death, and an autopsy is still being conducted to determine the cause.

Russian state media TASS also reported the incident, stating that Egorov was found dead in Tobolsk. The Tobolsk City Duma published an obituary, suggesting that Egorov died “as a result of an accident.”
Egorov joins a list of prominent Russians who have died under mysterious circumstances in recent months, including individuals with ties to major energy companies.
These incidents include the death of Ravil Maganov, chairman of Lukoil, who fell from a hospital window in Moscow, and Pavel Antov, a United Russia party member, who died in India after falling from the third floor of his hotel.
The series of deaths has raised questions and concerns, with some cases involving prominent figures who had expressed views contrary to the Russian government’s official stance, leading to speculation about potential foul play or political motivations.
