Reacting to the recent success of the naira and its recognition as the most improved currency worldwide, Omoworare expressed optimism about the incumbent administration’s commitment to continue implementing current economic, fiscal, and monetary policies. He particularly emphasized the need to address arbitrage in the currency market effectively.
In a statement released on Thursday, Omoworare noted that despite the positive impact on the exchange rate, there has been no significant improvement in food inflation and fuel pump prices. He urged all Nigerians, from traditional authorities to local, state, and federal governments, to work towards reducing the cost of food commodities.
Omoworare also commended the President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, for reducing the price of diesel and applauded the efforts of Governors Muhammed Bago and Chukwuma Soludo of Niger and Anambra states, respectively, for promoting mechanized farming.
Furthermore, he praised Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his collaborative efforts with other state governments in providing food to Lagos residents. Omoworare also commended Sanwo-Olu for introducing weekly farmers’ markets in the state to address food inflation.
He called on other sub-national entities to emulate these governors’ examples, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing agriculture and food security.

Dear Mister editor. Your headline is misleading. Tinubu and Dangote were commended. They did not applaud. They were commended. Big difference.
