I Should Contest For President” – Blessing CEO Breaks Silence After Kirikiri Remand
Controversial relationship therapist and social media personality Blessing CEO has spoken publicly after being arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on multiple charges and remanded in custody.
According to Ireporter Online, the influencer disclosed in an Instagram post on Wednesday that she pleaded not guilty to all the allegations after spending 26 days in EFCC custody.
“Pleaded not guilty to all of the charges after spending 26 days in EFCC custody,” she wrote.
Blessing CEO explained that one of the matters before the court involved an alleged ₦36 million tenancy dispute, which she claimed had already been resolved. She also addressed another case involving ₦69 million, describing it as a tenancy-related issue while insisting that she had never sold houses to anyone through her office.
“I did not sell anybody houses in my office,” she stated.
She further responded to allegations connected to a cancer fundraising campaign involving about ₦13 million donated by members of the public, maintaining her innocence and denying claims that she falsified a medical report.
The relationship coach revealed that she had been remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending the fulfilment of her bail conditions. Reflecting on the experience, she noted that it was her second stay at the facility and jokingly remarked that it might be enough reason for her to contest for the presidency.
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, Blessing CEO expressed optimism, describing herself as being in “high spirit” and insisting that the case would ultimately become a defining moment in her life.
“This story is my biggest breakthrough,” she wrote, adding, “Watch God turn this into a big stepping stone.”
She also disclosed that her bank accounts had been restricted, humorously advising followers to disregard any requests for financial assistance that might come in her name.
Her comments came hours after the EFCC arraigned her before the Federal High Court in Lagos over fresh allegations bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and retaining suspected proceeds of crime linked to a cancer treatment appeal.
