In a statement issued on Monday morning in Akure by a spokesperson for his campaign organization, Segun Ajiboye, Akinterinwa accused Governor Usman Ododo, the Chairman of the APC Primary Election Committee, of orchestrating the writing and forging of the election result.

The governorship aspirant asserted that the declaration of Governor Lucky Aiydatiwa as the winner of the election did not accurately reflect the reality of the exercise.

Akinterinwa claimed that no primary election took place in any of the 203 wards of the state, denouncing the APC’s primary election process as a disgraceful spectacle.

According to the statement, there was no evidence of a legitimate primary election occurring across Ondo State. Instead, Governor Ododo purportedly arrived in the state on Saturday morning and proceeded to fabricate election results without any actual voting taking place.

The statement emphasized that the absence of a genuine primary election was a missed opportunity for the APC to demonstrate its commitment to democratic processes and win the trust of the people of Ondo State.

Akinterinwa’s camp called for transparency and fairness within the party, stressing the importance of conducting credible elections that would be accepted by all stakeholders, including the opposition.
