Nigerians React As Bandits Strike-Danbaza Again, Kidnap 47 In Violent-Raid (Full-Details)
Bandits have launched another violent attack on the Danbaza neighborhood in Zamfara State’s Maradun Local Government Area, abducting at least 47 individuals. The kidnapping occurred early Monday morning, according to Naija News reports on Tuesday evening.
Local resident Mustapha Danbaza reported that his family lost eleven members in the latest assault. He also recounted a similar incident weeks prior, where a bus full of passengers was targeted by the same criminals, with no updates on their fate.
This attack adds to the growing list of violent raids in Maradun, the hometown of former governor and current Minister of State for Defense, Bello Matawalle. In the most recent assault, several individuals went missing from the Gora community. Villages like Janbako have also suffered repeated attacks by bandits.
State Police spokesman ASP Yazid has pledged to verify the event and provide updates to the press.
