Gov Yusuf Requests Kano Assembly’s Nod for ₦99 Billion Supplementary Budget
Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has officially submitted a request to the Kano State House of Assembly for the approval of a ₦99 billion supplementary budget. This budget is intended to cover additional expenses that were not included in the initial 2024 budget, addressing key areas such as infrastructure, education, and healthcare.
Governor Yusuf’s administration has highlighted the need for this supplementary budget to ensure that ongoing and new projects across the state are adequately funded. The proposed budget will focus on completing critical infrastructure projects, expanding educational facilities, and improving healthcare services to meet the growing needs of Kano’s residents.
The governor emphasized that this budget is crucial for the continued development of Kano State, ensuring that the government can fulfill its promises to the people. He urged the members of the Kano State House of Assembly to consider the long-term benefits of the proposed budget and to grant the necessary approval promptly.
If approved, the supplementary budget will be integrated into the state’s existing financial plan, enabling the government to enhance service delivery and improve the quality of life for Kano’s citizens.
This move by Governor Yusuf is seen as part of his broader strategy to accelerate development in the state, positioning Kano as a leader in economic growth and social progress in Nigeria.
