Kidnapped Borno High Court Judge Mshelia Returned Home Safe Following Release

Borno State High Court Judge, Hon. Justice Haruna Mshelia has been released by his abductors.

However, the Judge’s wife, Magistrate Binta Mshelia, his driver, and police orderly are still being held captive.

This was confirmed by a reliable source in Maiduguri.

“Alhamdulillah(We give thanks to God), we have just received the news of the release (from BH captivity), of Justice Haruna Mshelia.

“May Allah Almighty protect us all from any form of mishap.” The source said.

Recall that Justice Mshelia, alongside his wife, driver, and a police security guard were abducted by armed men on Monday, June 24.

According to sources close to the situation, Justice Mshelia was travelling with his wife, a senior judicial officer, from Biu to Maiduguri when they were ambushed by a heavily armed group between the Borno and Yobe states.
