House Of Representatives Delays Resumption By One Week
The House of Representatives has postponed its resumption from the annual vacation by one week. Originally scheduled to reconvene on September 17, the lower house will now return on September 24 at 11:00 am.
The delay was announced through an internal memo by Clerk of the House, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, following a directive from the House Leadership. The reason for the change in schedule has not been disclosed.
Upon resumption, the House will inaugurate the new board of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) and the Joint Senate/House Ad Hoc Committees on the Petroleum Industry Investigation on September 25.
