In a statement released Friday night, Sankara refuted the claims, asserting they were unfounded and intended to damage his reputation. The controversy arose after reports surfaced of Sankara’s alleged affair with a married woman, Tasleem Baba Nabegu, following a complaint filed by her husband, Nasiru Bulama.

Kano State Hisbah Board Director-General, Alhaji Abba Saidu Sufi, confirmed Sankara’s arrest during an investigation, but Sankara insists the accusations are baseless and part of a calculated effort to tarnish his image. He vowed to take legal action against those behind the false allegations.
