the Federal High Court has jurisdiction over serious charges such as treason, which some of the arrested protesters face.Addressing public concerns, the AGF stated that there is no law preventing minors from being tried in court, dismissing calls for the case to be moved to a family court. He also highlighted that despite the seriousness of the offenses, President Bola Tinubu’s compassionate decision to pardon the minors reflects his fatherly instincts.

Fagbemi further discussed the gradual implementation of the Supreme Court’s judgment on local government financial autonomy and encouraged legal practitioners to form partnerships, stressing their role in enhancing the legal profession.
