The Ondo gubernatorial election is set for Saturday, 16th November, 2024, and the APC’s grand finale rally will be held at MKO Abiola Democracy Park in Akure, starting at 10 a.m.

In related developments, eight political parties are reportedly aligning with the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to strengthen their chances in the upcoming election. Sources confirmed that these smaller parties have reached agreements with the two major parties and are preparing to instruct their supporters to vote for either the APC or PDP candidates.

One source mentioned that around eight smaller parties are collaborating with larger ones, adding that agreements were finalized over the weekend, and official announcements are expected within 72 hours. Leaders from the involved parties are already mobilizing their supporters for election day.

Another insider explained that several candidates from these parties might soon step down in favor of either the APC’s candidate, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, or the PDP’s Agboola Ajayi. Formal announcements regarding these mergers are anticipated by Friday.

Additionally, an APC source noted that approximately five gubernatorial candidates plan to withdraw from their parties and join the APC as part of a broader alliance strategy.
