In a touching message included in the funeral program, Mariya shared her deep appreciation for their time together, despite its tragic end. She recalled how meeting her husband in 2007 marked a pivotal moment in her life, one that shaped their lasting bond.
“My love for you is forever,” she wrote, recalling their vows to journey through life together. Mariya praised her late husband for his devotion, kindness, and unwavering love. She also expressed profound grief over his passing, noting that although their time together was short, she would treasure every memory.
Mariya spoke about how Lagbaja, as the spiritual leader of their home, guided them all to love and serve God. She also remembered his dedication as a father, creating cherished moments with their children despite his demanding career.
