In a statement on Sunday, Chris Nehikhare, the Publicity Secretary of the Edo PDP Caretaker Committee, criticized Okpebholo’s recent remarks about the 7.5km Temboga Road. Nehikhare noted that the road was already constructed under Obaseki’s administration, dismissing the governor’s claims as misleading and disingenuous.

The PDP accused Okpebholo of attempting to rewrite the performance record of the Obaseki-led government and called on him to focus on initiating projects aligned with his administration’s vision, if any.

“It is unfortunate that Governor Monday Okpebholo has started his administration on a deceptive note by making false claims about completed projects,” Nehikhare said.

He further urged the governor to deliver on his campaign promises and avoid what he described as “ignoble acts” of misrepresenting the achievements of the past government.

The PDP emphasized that the people of Edo State deserve honest leadership and developmental projects that reflect Okpebholo’s unique vision for the state.
