in Obio/Akpor, Chijioke described the upcoming election as a pivotal moment not only for Fubara’s political future but for the very essence and resources of the state.
Chijioke acknowledged that some of Fubara’s current supporters may abandon him for selfish reasons ahead of the election. He urged unity and loyalty among the governor’s base, emphasizing the need to remain steadfast. “I know some of the people backing Fubara now will turn their backs on us before 2027, possibly for personal reasons,” he said. “But I urge you all to stay loyal because the governor’s focus is on the welfare of Rivers State and its people. Please spread his message across the Akpor kingdom.”
In his address, Chijioke also reassured the members of the group that they would be included in the council’s development efforts, offering possible appointments as aides or committee members. “Rest assured, we will involve you in all our council activities, whether it’s through appointments as aides or committee memberships aimed at fostering development in our local council,” he said.
