The Nigerian international faces strong competition, including Inter Milan’s Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez, and AC Milan’s Rafael Leao. Lookman’s incredible run toward this recognition includes an impressive tally of 14 goal contributions (8 goals, 6 assists) in the final months of last season, the highest across Europe’s top five leagues.

A highlight of his season was his historic hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen, helping Atalanta secure a memorable win. Over the course of the season, Lookman netted 17 goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions, showcasing his all-around attacking skills.

This season, Lookman has continued his excellent form, already scoring 8 goals and registering 5 assists in just 14 appearances for Atalanta.
