One villager, speaking to Daily Post, recounted the terrifying experience, saying, “We all fled in panic, as the bandits have been targeting our village for some time. Later, we realized that over 50 of our women were taken.”

The distressing incident has raised alarms, with calls for urgent intervention. Local residents have urged both the federal and state governments to deploy additional military and security personnel to safeguard the area from further attacks.

Zamfara has been plagued by ongoing raids and kidnappings carried out by bandits, displacing many residents and instilling fear across the region.

This attack follows a series of explosions in the Dansadau District of Maru Local Government Area earlier this week, marking the third bomb attack in the area within just seven days. The simultaneous explosions rocked two roads—Dansadau-Malamawa and Malele—on Friday, exacerbating security concerns in the region.
