He believes that this disconnection has led to a loss of pride and identity among the Yoruba, who are neglecting to honor their traditional beliefs and celebrate their heritage.

During his remarks at the 2024 Ogun festival, held at the Ikorodu Town Hall in Lagos, Adams emphasized that the Yoruba race will struggle to progress unless it respects its traditional values. He urged the region’s monarchs to support the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) in promoting cultural awareness, stating that his organization is committed to restoring pride to the Yoruba heritage.

Adams articulated, “Our loss of status stems from our failure to recognize and honor our deities and ancestors. Without respecting the sanctity of our traditional beliefs, we cannot achieve meaningful advancement as a community.

“Our culture is fundamental to our identity and pride as a people. It embodies our traditions, languages, and values, and we must work to prevent it from fading away.
