The N55 billion budget will cater to the maintenance of the fleet’s aircraft, including air navigation, cleaning, fumigation, and fuel, with about N8.77 billion earmarked specifically for engine overhauls. The overall budget for the Ministry of Aviation in 2025, covering multiple agencies, is N105.95 billion. This allocation highlights a significant portion of the federal government’s investment in ensuring the operational readiness of the presidential fleet.

Earlier in 2024, the government also purchased a new Airbus A330 for the fleet after the old aircraft experienced technical issues.
