Lanre Ogunlowo, the state’s Commissioner of Police, emphasized the importance of caution, particularly advising parents and guardians against allowing their children to use commercial transport with strangers.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Omolola Odutola, the Police Command’s spokesperson, revealed that while some missing persons have been found, a significant number remain unaccounted for.

The Commissioner recommended that youths in distress leverage social media and digital communication tools to raise alarms.

“As a community-focused force, we are dedicated to raising awareness about this troubling trend and encouraging everyone to prioritize their safety,” Ogunlowo stated.
