suspects—comprising 67 males and 38 females—were allegedly involved in a hotel review job scam targeting hotels in Europe.

The suspects were arrested in a business apartment in the Gudu area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday.

“In its ongoing efforts to combat internet fraud and corruption, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested four Chinese nationals and 101 Nigerians in a business apartment in the Gudu axis of Abuja.

“They were apprehended on Thursday, January 9, 2025.

“The suspects, comprising 67 males (including four Chinese nationals) and 38 females, were allegedly engaged in a hotel review job scam targeting victims and hotels in Europe and beyond,” the statement read.

EFCC spokesman added that the suspects will be charged to court following the conclusion of investigations.

Recall that ireporteronline previously reported that in November, 113 Chinese nationals were arrested in Abuja’s Jabi area by Nigeria Police operatives for high-level cybercrimes and hacking.

According to Police Spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, alongside the Chinese were Malaysians and other Nigerians.

“The operation was conducted through a coordinated raid on a building at the Next Cash and Carry area of Jahi, Abuja, where the suspects were reportedly using computers and sophisticated devices to facilitate criminal activities,” Adejobi said.
