Violent Ambush: Three Soldiers Abducted in Enugu

on Thursday, January 9, 2025, on the Enugu-Nsukka Road. Four personnel were initially taken, but one soldier managed to escape.
The victims—PTE Usoro Ezekiel Paul, Jeremiah Inimbom Thomas, and PTE Victor Itiat Godwin—were traveling from Akwa Ibom to Kaduna when they were abducted. Witnesses confirmed the kidnappers were a group of 17 herdsmen, who held the passengers for over an hour before dragging them into the bush.
The soldiers’ abduction has been confirmed in military communications, with search operations currently underway.
