A Police Inspector Is Missing, And Two officers Are Injured Following A Gunfight With Pirates.

and two others sustained injuries. The assailants, approximately 24 in number and operating from three speedboats, ambushed the Marine Police Patrol Team on January 11 at around 1:00 PM. The injured officers, Inspectors Sunday Usuyak and Edet Enenyi, are currently receiving medical treatment. A specialized search and rescue team has been deployed to locate the missing officer, with the Nigerian Navy and other security agencies collaborating in the operation. The Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, has visited the scene and assured residents of increased patrols and enhanced security in the affected areas. The public is encouraged to provide credible information to assist in the ongoing operations.
