According to Police Public Relations Officer Nafiu Abubakar, the suspects—Umaru Garba, Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji Mamman, and Usman Muhammadu—attempted to offer the bribe at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Gwadangaji, Birnin Kebbi.

The suspects were immediately apprehended, and an investigation is underway. Upon completion, they will face charges in court. Commissioner of Police Bello Sani commended the officers for their integrity and professionalism, reaffirming the police command’s commitment to fighting banditry and ensuring peace in Kebbi State.
