The collaboration will ensure that expatriates meet the same industry standards as local workers, promoting fairness, professionalism, and growth in the sector. NIHOTOUR is advocating for its certification to be included as a mandatory requirement for expatriates seeking work visas in Nigeria’s hospitality and tourism industries. This move aims to ensure that only qualified professionals meet industry standards.

Additionally, the two agencies are considering a structured training program for immigration officers to improve their conduct at airports and enhance the overall travel experience, while also addressing concerns of extortion.
