SDP Denies Tinubu’s Ownership, Funding Allegations

In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Rufus Ayenigba, the party condemned the allegations as “reckless” and a misleading attempt to serve personal and political interests.
The SDP clarified that while Tinubu started his political career under the party in the aborted Third Republic, there is no ongoing connection or collaboration with him or his representatives. It emphasized that the party remains self-funded, operating solely on its members’ contributions.
