Several videos have surfaced on social media showing constituents signing petitions in support of her removal, indicating strong backing for the recall effort.

A source in Kogi confirmed that the process is already in motion, with mobilization efforts actively taking place across the senatorial district. The recall follows Senator Natasha’s recent suspension from the Senate on March 6 over alleged “gross misconduct,” which stemmed from her accusations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio, including claims of sexual harassment.

According to Section 69 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the recall process requires constituents to sign a petition to INEC, followed by signature verification. If the required threshold is met, INEC will proceed with the legal steps necessary to finalize the recall.

The petition process is expected to span all polling units in the five local government areas of Kogi Central over the next two days.
