Obodoezie, who picked up the woman along Powerline Road, discovered the money after it fell from his tricycle due to bad roads. He resisted attempts by bystanders to take some of the cash and instead searched for the owner, eventually reuniting her with the lost money.

The grateful trader, Mrs. Chika Aloysius-Iwu, thanked Obodoezie, praying for blessings upon him. Traders at Ariaria International Market commended his rare act of integrity, calling for the government and Nigerians to recognize and reward him.
