President Tinubu Announces New Appointments To Strengthen River Basin Development Authorities

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved new appointments aimed at reinforcing the leadership of River Basin Development Authorities under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources. At the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority in Abeokuta, Sowade Oluwakayode Adebayo will take over from Engr. Julius Oloro as the Executive Director of Engineering Services.

At the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority, Chucks Erhire has been appointed the new Executive Director of Engineering Services, succeeding Dr. Austin Nonyelim Izagbo.

Additionally, Sunday Kubba Hassan has been named the Executive Director of Planning at the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority, taking over from Chief Chris Tarka. Engr. Okibe Timothy will continue in his role as the Executive Director of Engineering at the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority.

President Tinubu encouraged the newly appointed leaders to maintain the highest levels of integrity and dedication in their roles, emphasizing their responsibility to enhance water management and rural development for the benefit of all Nigerians.
