It Has Reached My Bones” – Nollywood Actress Makes Heartbreaking Appeal Amid Cancer Battle

According to reports, the actress revealed in a video shared on her Instagram page that she was diagnosed with cancer in 2023 and underwent surgery as well as chemotherapy in an effort to contain the disease.

Cynthia explained that the treatment initially helped manage her condition, but the cancer later returned and has now spread to her bones, leaving her in need of more advanced medical intervention, including radiation therapy and another surgical procedure.

The actress further disclosed that the illness has also affected her breasts, adding that the cost of her current treatment has become increasingly difficult to bear.

“I have cancer in 2023. I did my surgery and took chemotherapy, but later it came back again. I’ve been in and out of the hospital. The doctor recently told me it has reached my bones, and the treatment is now much more expensive,” she said.

Making an emotional appeal, Cynthia urged Nigerians to support her recovery efforts, stressing that any contribution, regardless of the amount, would go a long way in helping her access the required medical care.

“I need to live. I need to survive. I’m asking Nigerians to please help me. Anyone that can help, please, I need help. Even my hands have swollen. The cancer has affected both breasts. I need to live. Please help me,” she pleaded.

The actress added that small donations from individuals could collectively assist her in securing the necessary treatment to continue her fight against the disease.

Before her health challenges came to public attention, Cynthia Anijekwu established herself in Nollywood, appearing in several English and Igbo-language films and earning recognition for her contributions to the Nigerian film industry.
