the Police Service Commission (PSC) has raised a red flag, cautioning Nigerians to remain vigilant and disregard false claims suggesting that recruitment into the constable cadre of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for 2025 has commenced.

The Commission clarified that no recruitment process is currently underway and described the viral messages on social media as completely misleading.

In a statement released on Sunday, the PSC spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, denounced the circulating announcements as “mischievous,” warning the public against falling victim to fraudulent platforms exploiting the anticipation of the recruitment exercise.

According to iReporter Online, Ani emphasized that the Commission will follow its usual formal procedures and issue an official announcement once the process begins.

Nigerians have been advised to rely solely on verified sources for updates and avoid unofficial publications aimed at sowing confusion.
