Chaos In The Sky: VeryDarkMan And Mr Jollof Trade Blows Mid-Flight

According to Ireporter Online, a mild uproar broke out aboard a United Nigerian Airlines flight from Asaba, Delta State, to Lagos after social media critic Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, and comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, popularly called Mr Jollof, engaged in a physical altercation mid-air.

The clash comes after months of online hostilities between the pair, with their feud escalating when VeryDarkMan accused Mr Jollof’s wife of being involved with internet fraudsters—a claim that intensified tension between them.

A Facebook user, Paul Ezikel, who shared footage of the incident, stated that passengers were stunned as the two men exchanged punches before flight officials intervened. VeryDarkMan later acknowledged the confrontation in a Facebook post, alleging that Mr Jollof bit him during the fight and insisting he acted in self-defense.

“Mr Jollof, as a man, you bit me during a fight. Haba! Jollof would have finished me if I hadn’t defended myself. God saved me,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, in a separate development, Mr Jollof recently cautioned Nigerians against praising U.S. President Donald Trump over his comments on alleged killings and genocide in Nigeria. In a series of Instagram posts, the comedian berated those who believe foreign intervention from the U.S. would benefit the country, questioning why Nigerians would trust a leader who had previously made disparaging remarks about Africa.

He further argued that outside interference could worsen Nigeria’s challenges, warning that sanctions, economic restrictions, or military involvement might follow—potentially resulting in food shortages, instability, and even occupation under the pretext of combating terrorism.
