The Miss Nigeria Organisation has issued a formal apology to Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde following an uncomfortable incident involving the actress at the 46th Miss Nigeria Patrons & Board Dinner. According to Ireporter Online, the apology comes after a viral video captured an awkward exchange between the actress and a young presenter at the private event.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the organisation distanced itself from the presenter, clarifying that the individual was not officially invited and had no affiliation with the strictly private gathering. The organisation expressed regret over the discomfort experienced by the actress, describing her as a highly respected figure within its community and a longstanding contributor to the growth of Nigeria’s creative industry.

The statement further explained that the event was designed as an invite-only engagement, noting that the presence of unaccredited media can result in unplanned situations that may catch both guests and interviewers off guard. It also argued that the viral footage did not fully reflect the circumstances surrounding the incident, alleging that multiple individuals had encroached on the actress’s personal space, thereby contributing to her discomfort.

The organisation strongly condemned any attempt to approach guests without proper authorization, stressing that such conduct is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. It also commended Jalade-Ekeinde for maintaining composure and engaging respectfully despite the situation.
