According to Ireporter Online, FC Porto is set to host Nottingham Forest in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League quarter-final clash later tonight, April 9, with three Nigerian internationals expected to play pivotal roles.

The fixture rekindles a rivalry that began earlier in the competition, when Nottingham Forest stunned Porto with a 2-0 victory in October, marking the clubs’ first-ever meeting in European competition.

All eyes will be on the Estádio do Dragão as Porto prepares to field Super Eagles duo Terem Moffi and Zaidu Sanusi, while Nottingham Forest will lean on Ola Aina to marshal their defense.

Sanusi has been a consistent performer for Porto in this season’s Europa League, making six appearances and registering one assist from left-back. Known for his speed and defensive discipline, he has become a reliable presence on the continental stage.

Moffi, who joined Porto on loan from OGC Nice in January, has started to adapt to Portuguese football. The striker has scored once in two Europa League outings and will aim to increase that tally in a match that could define Porto’s European ambitions.

Nottingham Forest arrives in Portugal encouraged by their previous success against Porto. Aina, who has featured in six Europa League matches this season, is expected to play a key role in containing Porto’s attacking threats.
