Dollar To Naira Exchange Rate For Today, April 15, 2026
According to reports by Ireporter Online, the naira continued to trade against the United States dollar at varying rates across the parallel market, commonly referred to as the black market or Aboki FX. Findings from Bureau De Change (BDC) operators in Lagos indicate that on April 14, 2026, the dollar was sold at ₦1,410 and purchased at ₦1,380, reflecting ongoing fluctuations in the informal foreign exchange segment.
Market sources revealed that these rates are influenced by demand and supply dynamics within the parallel market, which operates outside official regulatory frameworks. Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has consistently maintained that it does not recognize the black market and has advised individuals and businesses seeking foreign exchange transactions to utilize authorized financial institutions.
Further checks show that within the official window, the CBN recorded rates ranging between a high of ₦1,350 and a low of ₦1,334 for the dollar. Analysts note that discrepancies between official and parallel market rates persist, largely due to forex scarcity and sustained pressure on the local currency.
However, experts caution that exchange rates may vary slightly depending on location and volume of transactions, as dealers often adjust prices based on prevailing market conditions.
